•     Ontchild/YPRO is a non-profit charitable association formed as Ontchild in 1976.

•     Ontchild/YPRO member agencies serve a diversity of children, youth and young parents in both residential and non-residential care facilities.

•     Ontchild/YPRO member agencies are located in all regions of Ontario, including isolated and rural communities.

•     Under the Ontchild/YPRO umbrella, agencies provide necessary services and timely support to over 10,000 young parents, children, youth and their families annually.

•     The Ontchild/YPRO network benefits both the agencies and those we serve through promoting education, networking and information sharing opportunities. 

•     All Ontchild/YPRO members benefit from free training available through Safeguards www.safeguards-training.net

•     Most Ontchild/YPRO member agencies are funded by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services of the government of Ontario, and each agency is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of volunteers from the local community.
